Today is another gift from God to His children. I don't know how the weather is where you are, but it is sunny here in Florida. Not real warm, but you don't need a coat.
God is so good to us, even when we don't deserve His goodness. Some went to sleep last night hungry, tired, with no bed to sleep in. Some went to bed and did not wake up this morning. Do you realize just how blessed those of us are that a still able to thank God for our health and well being?
We tend to go through our lives without a thought to all the blessing God surrounds us with on a daily basis. Those blessings we don't see or aren't even aware of. Remember the time the kids made you late leaving home for work and on the way you pass a terrible accident. You say to yourself, 'wow, if I would have been 5 minutes earlier, that could/would have been me'. Do you thank God for allowing the children make you late? How about the time you gave a dollar or two to a homeless person on the street and then found a $20 in that pair of jeans you hadn't worn in a couple of weeks.
It's the little blessings we forget to thank God for. When the big ones happen we want to tell the world about it, but the little ones we forget. However, we should tell about the little ones also. That gives people encouragement, showing that God blesses us in little ways many more time than in big ways.
Everyday God blesses us in so many ways that we take for granted. The first blessing we receive is when He wakes us in the morning. From that point on we are being blessed. Just think of an average day in your life and count the blessings. This should include every day activities that take place in your life. Don't forget the gas in the car to get to work or school; your job, even if you don't think you are paid enough or don't like your boss or co-worker(s); what about the clothes you put on this morning, and those you dressed your child(ren) in before they left for school. Are your parents still living, thank God, so many have lost one or both parents.
Do you see just how blessed you are, even if God has not answered your prayer for that big blessing. But ask yourself, have you being serving God in the manner that you should? Do you really think you deserve that big blessing? If you don't bother or think to thank God for the small things, how do think He feels about giving you a big blessing?
Just something to think about.

Do You Know Your Calling?
As christians we all have a 'calling' or job to do in building God's Kingdom here on earth. However, we all may not know what that job is and we may not be going about the business of our job. Why, because 1) we either have not asked God to open our hearts and minds to the voice of the Holy Spirit whose job it is to impart this most important information to us, or 2) we are still running from claiming and walking in our Call.
When I finally stopped running from God and His call on my life, He led several people to me that reinforced and clarified His specific Call on my life. I was still called to 'save His children' but not in the manner I had envisioned. I did not have to get up in front of a crowd of people and preach the Word. God had given me a gift, but it was the gift of written word. He wanted me to use the talent He had born in me before I was born into this world. He wanted me to write about His love for His children. He wanted me to use a sinner like me to reach out to others by letting them know from whence He had brought me from.
By this method, I could reach people from all walks of life all over the world who read my words. By obeying God's call on my life and doing my job, I could show people that no matter how insignificent you think your calling is, or the talent you have been blessed with, if it is from God, He can and will increase it beyond our wildest imaginations, using our 'little' to increase His Glory and build His Kingdom.
Ask God to open your heart and ears to the voice of the Holy Spirit then listen for and start walking in God's Call.

Walking in my Calling.
Each child of God has a 'Call' on his or her life. Your 'Call' (or job) is the gift of the Spirit that was born within you when your turned your life over to Christ and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior (1 Corinthians, chapter 12 speaks of these 'gifts'). If you don't know what your call or gift is I implore you to prayerfully ask God to show you. As Christians we have a work to do for the Lord. We are not saved just to warm a pew but to go boldly into the world and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are still in darkness! Now some of you may say 'wait a minute, I'm not a preacher, or teacher. I can't speak before crowds of people! Well you are just like I use to be, I use the think and feel the same way and there was NO WAY I was going to do that.
You see God's 'call' on my life, or the job He told me He wanted me to do was to 'save His Children! For a long time I ran from my calling. I made every excuse I could think of, from I did not know enough Bible to be trying to tell someone else how to live a christian life to I don't know exactly what God wanted me to do - although He had already told me. Even during the time I was running and ducking God's job He sent several people to tell me what I was suppose to do and how to do it. However, since God Himself did not speak to me directly when 'I' asked Him for direction, I continued to ignore my 'job for God'. It took me years to stop running but when I did I realized that the job God gave me to do He also equiped me to do.
If you are running from your call - STOP! If God gave it to you He will make sure you are equip to do what He has called you to do!
